Life Snapshot (“we”, “our”, “the app”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Life Snapshot app.

1. Information We Collect

Life Snapshot is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data, only what is necessary for the app to function.

a) Personal Information (Stored Locally Only)

  • Date of Birth (DOB)
    Used to calculate life statistics such as days lived, weeks lived, and insights.

👉 This data is stored only on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences).
👉 We do not upload, sync, or share this data with any server.

b) User-Created Data

  • Life chapters (career, relationship, marriage, etc.)
  • Dates associated with chapters

👉 All such data is stored locally on your device.

2. Advertising & Analytics

Life Snapshot uses Google AdMob to show ads.

AdMob may collect:

  • Device information (such as advertising ID)
  • App usage data
  • Approximate location (country-level)

This data is collected by Google, not by us.

3. Rewarded & Interstitial Ads

  • Rewarded ads are used to unlock optional features (e.g., Deep Life Insights).
  • Watching ads is optional.
  • No personal data is shared by us in exchange for rewards.

4. Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell your data
  • Share your personal data with third parties
  • Upload your life data to any server

Your life data stays on your device.

5. Data Security

Since all personal data is stored locally:

  • No internet transmission of your personal data occurs
  • No account, login, or cloud storage is used

However, uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.

6. Children’s Privacy

Life Snapshot is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Your Choices

You can:

  • Edit or change your Date of Birth at any time
  • Delete life chapters
  • Clear app data or uninstall the app to remove all stored data

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally.
Any changes will be reflected on this page.
